help! ballet slipper suggestions...

I snoozed and lost on the Sue London ballet slippers on girlshop.com (sold out - doh!) and I really want some for my trip to europe... this weekend!  You can buy them on the Sue London site, but I am not convinced I'd have them on time and it's rather a chunk of change for ballet slippers that might not get here.

They were just what I wanted though - really simple, minimal coverage (they show a lot of foot), no little bows or flowers (I could live with a very small string bow, I guess), soft leather and padded sole.  Anyone have any faves or recs that will withstand touristing in Paris and London, pref from a reputable place that will ship right away (or that has a store)?  I won't be wearing them every day, but when I do, it'll be all day and most likely on the plane.  Must be solid black.

Thanks!

I swear on my mother that my Target ballet flats are the best investment that I have ever made.  I get tons of compliments on them, they are super comfy and they were only $12.  Have fun on your trip!!

I hate to say "ditto" but I own 4 pair (tan, gold, silver & black) of the Target ones & I swear I am spoiled. If i wear any other shoes all day my feet hurt. They do have thin soles, so if you want some support maybe go up 1/2 a size & put in an insert? But I love mine to death & get compliments on them constantly.

dc, I might be a little confused, but is there a difference between Sue London and London Sole ballet slippers?  Actually, looking at their website, they do look like 2 different companies.  Not sure if you've already cheked out London Sole, but their slippers are great, really comfortable, but unfortunately not cheap.

It looks like they have a great selection of colors and styles online:

In case they don't have your size or can't ship to you in time, you might want to call their Santa Monica store (it's right by my house, that's how I discovered the brand), they might be willing to overnight a pair to you, 310-255-0937.

Good luck!

I was just going to tell you about the Urban ones that FP posted. I think those are a good bet, unless you decide to go for London Sole or something pricier, because they are leather. I think the Target or other non-leather shoes could get really uncomfortable if you are doing a lot of walking in the hot weather.
