Well yesterday I did 1/2 cup blueberries and it was fine but didn't mix well with honey puffed kashi so I will go back to bananas with that one but I like it with go lean crunch. I did it this morning and it tasted great but 1 cup was just too much for the 1 cup of cereal. I might try 3/4c or 2/3 tomorrow. Probably 1/2 cup is fine. I'm just experimenting.
Yes blueberries are cheaper here. They are around $1.99 or $2.50. I tend to pick them up at Walmart or at local fruit and veggie markets because they are somewhat cheaper than wholefoods (I get the ones that say locally picked at walmart)
Blackberries are expensive around here! You have to pay like $3.00 for 10 it seems like. I'm jealous of you!
Just a question: What is Kashi cereal? And why does it seem so popular? And since I'm here...I'll contribute my first diet & exercise: W: nothing...I really need the motivation to start. I'm thinking of buying a workout video. Which ones do you guys use and recommend?
Thanks for joining and welcome!
Kashi cereal is full of whole grains and healthy stuff so I try to eat it to get in those nutrients. You can get it at Walmart or places like Whole Foods. I like the Go Lean Crunch version over the Honey Puffed but that's just my preference. It is low in fat and calories but high in fiber and other good things. I like mixing in some different fruits and it just works really well with my diet - Weight Watchers.
Exercise videos-> it depends on what you are looking for. What do you want to do? You can get different ones on Limeware for free (someone else on here recommended this to me) if you want to try them out before you buy. I've downloaded but not burned yet to try: Windsor Pilates, Carmen Electra, crunch pilates. If you don't want to download from there (it is safe though) you should just check out walmart's dvd section. I like windsor pilates but others prefer the Crunch dvds and their pilates dvd saying it is better and somewhat more challenging. Oh blockbuster and netflix carries workout videos I believe if you want to check one out first also.
