Right off the bat I will say....I am not entirely sure whether it has thickened my hair or not. Sometimes I think it has, but sometimes I wonder if that's just wishful thinking. I can't find it now, but when I first bought it I read something that said it would thicken by 8%-10%, which is not a ton but supposedly should be noticeable. But because I am not entirely convinced that it's a waste of money, I am going to shell out for another bottle of it.

The directions say "When: Nightly. Twice-daily for the ultra-fine.

I use this product nightly on dry hair. I usually use 3 pumps for my roots, then 2 pumps for the ends. It has lasted me a couple months. It has a distinctive smell, but it's not bad (kind of citrusy) and is gone by the morning. I think you can also feel it on the hair at night but that is also gone by the morning. I have noticed that I have to wash my hair more often - before this, I was washing about every 4 days and now I have to wash about every 3.
