Is one of the symptoms of strep throat white spots on your tonsils?

Yes, it is. I am an expert when it comes to strep.

If you go to the doctor and the test comes up negative you could still have it. Accroding to my doctor 30% of all the strep test that come back negative are actually postive. I guess the test is pretty unreliable.

I have had strep throat about 8 times since Jan. I found that listerine really helped cut back on the pain. The doc will presribe you meds, but they don't work right away, so in the meantime I gargled w/ listerine- the mint kind. It will dry out your mouth because of the alcohol in it, so then I drank lots of water.

Salt water will help too and my doctor recommended that, but it actually made me get sick once time. Throwing up w/ strep was so freakin painful, so I use Listerine now. Just htought I would mention it.
