Well, I tried on a pair of Steven flats in a Steve Madden when I was in NY, but they didn't have the color I wanted in my size.  So I went to my local Steve Madden looking for them, but they didn't have them.  They told me that I just needed the style name and they'd find them.  So they connected me to the NY store I went to, I described the shoe, and the sales clerk instantly gave me their name.  So then they entered the name for me and found them and are shipping them out to my house.  Yay!!  It was so quick and easy, and I thought I'd never find these shoes again.  I'm glad I asked

Update- I just got them!  I am amazed at the Zappos-esque speed.  I did have to pay $6.50 shipping, but considering most Zappos Steve maddens are $10-15 more, I'll let it slide.  Unfortunately, I don't like them that much so I will return them, but i highly recommend having them search for shoes for you next time they don't have your size!
