What brand/types of facial creams do you use?  I have been using Revive for the past few months and love it but it is super expensive.  I use their day and night

moisturizers, eye cream and serum.  I was hoping to find something as good but for a bit less.  Any suggestions?

I have been using the Boots line in Target. Relatively inexpensive (as facial lines go), and I have gotten comments about how much "brighter" and more even my skin looks lately (from my sister and other close friends).

For day I use Clarins multi-active early wrinkle correcting lotion with SPF 15.
Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correcting Lotion SPF 15
It's $54.

I'm currently using Skyn Iceland's nicht cream, but don't know that I'm sold on it. I just read about a new Clinique moisturizer I'm interested in trying and will likely buy when I'm out of my current cream. It's:

NEW Youth Surge Night Age Decelerating Night Moisturizer for Dry Combination Skin
$48.50

I'm loving Paula's Choice right now.  The price-point is somewhere between higher-end-drug-store and Clinique, so that makes her stuff even more desirable in my book.  I was using Estee Lauder before....way too perfumey.

Paula's Choice isn't the most luxurious, pretty smelling stuff (it's fragrance-free), but I am super happy with it.  I turned my mom onto it too!

I have oily/combination, sensitive skin

- I use this every day, and I love it.  It foams and cleans nicely, and truly doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped. Many companies claim that their cleansers do the same, but it's not true.   I bought the big bottle, and I have been using it in the shower as a body wash.

- This is a nice perk, a comforting extra step.  It really helps soothe my skin and add a little extra hydration before moisturizing.

- Paula's BHA Gel has cleared up my skin on my face, and I have been using it on some very stubborn acne on my back.  The gel does what you expect a salicylic acid to do, but it works without irritating my skin.  Very happy.

- I just started using this and haven't had a chance to give it a fair assessment.  No major dryness or anything yet.

- The texture of this lotion is unlike any I have ever seen.  It is super plush but light enough that it doesn't seem to suffocate my skin -- which tends to be oily in places.  Unfortunately, I cannot use this moisturizer because it contains wheat germ oil.  My husband has Celiac Disease, and I have to be careful with product that sits on the skin.  Bummed.

- This is the only product of hers that I have tried that I don't care for.  It is nice as a sunscreen, but it really doesn't feel like it moisturizes or protects from moisture-loss at all.  Maybe better for summer.

Other products I've tried and liked
AHA Skin Revealing Body Lotion thumbsup.gif smile
Skin recovery toner - very soothing
Skin recovery cleanser - eh
All over hair & body shampoo - eh + it has wheat in it

i've literally tried them all... drugstore, department store, specialty, salon/spa brands, derm's suggestions...

and suddenly noticed that i owned a lot of Kiehl's stuff but yet never used their facial items... i picked up all of their acai line and my skin is doing better than it has in a long long time...

Okay, Pollyjean - I haven't even heard that woman's name since what? The 80s? When she used to be on Oprah all the time. I just ordered the "Resist" moisturizer and a bunch of samples because I'm starting to feel guilty that I don't take better care of my skin.

Ha ha. I remember her book from when I worked at Borders in the 90s, and my MIL tried her stuff in the last few years.  I checked her site out and noticed how active she is.  Her recommendations, standards, and explanations just make so much sense.

I'm very happy so far.  The gentle cleanser and AHA/BHA principles are working very well.

Have you tried Skinceuticals? I use the emollience moisterizer because I live in the desert and swear by it. It's the only thing that keeps my skin hydrated without making it look and feel greasy.

Another product I love is Bobbi Brown's moisturizer. It is literally like a drink of water for your skin. I use this in the spring/summer when it gets a little more humid.

I use Remede eye cream, which is $100/jar but lasts a loooooong time.

And then I just use cetaphyl per my derm's orders to wash my face.
