Need Help Putting Together An Outfit....

My mother-in-law hosts a community picnic and I have to help out a LOT! I need a cute outfit but also something I can run around in.  So I think I've decided against one of my cute new skirts. I was thinking of wearing my dark denim Express cropped jeans.  I need some tops suggestions and some shoe suggestions.  As far as shoes go, I need something comfortable but with a wedge heel (for added height!).  As for the top - no specifics but it's going to be HOT! Thanks in advance.
