My father was at a charity thing a few nights ago and a close family memeber of Katie was there. He was sitting at the same table w/ the family member and all the women kept houding the family member for Katie gossip.

According to my dad the family member said that Tom Cruise had someone call Katie and set something up to meet her. I guess the whole thing was very formal and bussiness like. Her "people" thought it was a good idea that she meet him becaues it could really help her career and put her in the spotlight.

My dad also said he heard something to the effect that the marriage thing is was all setup, but apparently either Tom, Katie or both ended up having feelsings for the other. That is all I got about that. My dad said he wasn't really paying attention because he didn't care.

I don't know if anyone cares, but I thought I would share the info.

This is pretty much what I suspect... I also suspect that Katie is the one with the feelings, if either of them.

yeah, this is really weird.  i don't know if anyone will find this interesting, but a friend of mine went to high school with katie holmes.  over this past weekend we were talking about her and the tom cruise blitz and i asked her what katie had been like; my friend was the year ahead of her and didn't know her well, but they had math together and would talk sometimes.  she said katie was generally nice and smart and was just starting out, people knew she'd won some modeling competition and was going after acting too.  but my friend said there was one weird interaction.  they'd gotten their class pictures back and katie didn't like hers, and my friend asked if she could see it and then said to her something like "you look cute, it's not bad," trying to be nice, and either katie said "don't lie" in a kind of cold way.  anyway, there's my katie holmes story.

A friend of mine in college went to high school with her and says she was majorly anorexic even back then. Not that this is news, an actress being anorexic. But still. Not good.

I had not ever heard that. My brother kind of dated her for a little bit. Well as much as you can date in highschool. Her parents and my parents kind of set them up, so we spent some time w/ her. She was actually not that little in highschool. She wasn't fat, but I never looked @ her and thought she was really skinny.
