I met LeAnn Rimes at a stationery store in Nashville.  She was super nice and so was her hubby.

I met Dustin Diamond who was so skeevy.  I can never see Screech the same again. . .

I've met/ spotted a handful of others, but those are my best (ha yeah, my others are kind of pathetic. . .)

I met Jen Schefft (the bachelorette), if you want to call her a celebrity, last night at this sushi place Japonais in Chicago.  My friend and I were having drinks and she was there w/a friend doing the same.  She was super sweet!  I was surprised because I thought she acted like such an idiot on the Bachelorette.  She's so tiny, and short in person too!

Was his wife Jilly with him?

I was in Times Square this previous New Years...and I was just outside the MTV studio.  I could see many of the celebrities and VJs through the windows.  And I saw Lindsey Lohan pick a wedgie.  HAHAHA!

shaq asking me out-- was in the car w/ my friends after our other friend's bday party, my friend saw his cousin's car (she had stalker tendencies and was going through a bball groupie phase at the time), made an illegal u-turn and pulled up next to them, i was in the back seat, driver's side, he was in the front passenger seat of his cousin's car, he made eyes at me, asked for my number, i didn't know whether i should give it or not because i didn't know if my friend liked him, she gave him my number, he called two days later, saturday, and wanted to take me out but i had a paper i had to finish so i said no he was like well i'm going to be out of town for a month but i'll call you when i get back. i was like ok.  i told my friends, they were like you are the biggest nerd ever, i was like oh well, what am i supposed to do w/ him anyway, besides i love C (we were dating at the time but not exclusive yet).  anyway, a month later, he called again, spoke to my roomate, she was like i'll give her the message.  she told me, by then C and I were exclusive so i never called him back.  oh yeah, and his first words to me were how old ar you? soo funny, i'd just turned 21 at the time.  i think that's all i can think of for now...

Oh you should have gone out with him! He seems to be a really good guy and was really nice when he was the star player at LSU a few years ago and he was always great when he came back to town to finish up school.  Oh well... it was probably for the best anyways.

These are some pretty good stories! I love the Wilson bros, so I am slightly disappointed in them, but actually I'd sort of expect them to be snarky.

I've met a few, and also had a few near misses.

The nicest guy I've met was Matthew St Patrick from 6 Feet Under (plays Keith, David'd hot partner). He is *really* handsome in real life. My friend and I were checking in to a hotel in Boston and he and a guy from The Shield (which I have never watched, so I don't know who he was) were also checknig in. My friend, who is a news anchor/reporter, introduced himself and started "talking shop" and then turned his attention to the other guy. Matthew turned to me and asked my name, introduced himself, and said my name was pretty. Aww. He actually appeared to be kind and interested in what I had to say. I told him he did great work on the show and he seemed genuinely pleased.

I am so pissed off because last week I went to go see the Old 97's (my favorite band) and Rhett Miller (the mind-blowingly hot lead singer) walked by and my friend shook hands with him, but I was too late upon the scene - I just got to witness from afar. Then this guy who had sort of joined our little group shook his hand and called him "Rhett Butler" by mistake, and Rhett laughed good naturedly and kept going (this is when I arrived). We told him that Rhett probably didn't "give a damn" about it. Hardy har har. RM actually seemed slightly shy, but smiled at our group and then went off down the street/alley to his bus or car or whatever. He's so dreamy... sigh. My friend is not as big a fan as I am, so I was bummed.. but then again, I probably would have embarrassed myself, so I am half-glad. I was sort of tipsy, so you never know what I might have said ("Rhett, you're so hot! I love you! I love your lyrics! Leave your wife and let's run away!")

Oh - another celeb I met who is really nice (unexpectedly) was Mario Cantone, Char's wedding planner/gay friend on Sex and The City. My friend (same friend as above) needed to do a pre-interview with him for an appearance Mario was going to do on Ron's show, so we got to go see him backstage after his one man show on Broadway. It was funny because before the show, he and his partner were at the same restaurant (August) that we were in the Village, nowhere near the theatre. Of all the restaurants in NYC, it was odd that we'd end out in the same one as him in a totally different part of town before we were to see his show/meet with him. Anyway, we went back to his dressing room, but mainly Ron spoke to him and I stood around and waited. Mario's partner made small talk, for which I was very grateful, and they just seemed like a nice couple, like someone you mgiht know or be friends with. I had been nervous because his character on S&TC was so abrasive, but in real life he was kind. Oddly, this isn't even the first time I have seen him - I randomly spotted him and his partner long before this, a year ago, at a restaurant (Herbsaint) in New Orleans. I guess we have the same taste in food!

Kid rock is at every Pistons game I go to and he is always VERY nice to the crowd and he plays along when they play his songs or when the camera is on him. Eminem on the other hand always looks away when the camera is on him. Eva Longeria (sp?) was at the last game and smiled even as the crowd was booing her.

Oh, and the thing about celebs. Don't we all know how bad celebs are stalked by photographers and fans? Therefore, when you sign up to be famous, you sign up to be followed. If it bothers you THAT much, don't set your career sights on being famous! It's common sense.

I went to college with the idea that I wanted to work in the music industry... long story short I had a change of heart (wouldn't really use my expensive education, too competitive, I could go on.)

If anything knows anything about country music, I used to work for an artist named Sara Evans. She's very nice, super funny, and gorgeous in real life... not too mentioned talented. I worked for her and her manager for about 2 years before I went to work part time at RCA Labels Group Nashville (RCA, BNA, and Arista). Basically while working for Sara and at RCA I met almost everyone in country music.

I know most people on here don't listen/ know country stars, but I did meet Kenny Chesney (aka Mr. Renee Zellweger) several times at RCA. He was very flirtatious but kinda cocky. He's short and bald so I was never too interested or excited when he came in. When Renee married him I was shocked because I personally know he's nothing too special in real life.

when i worked steadily as a photographer (still do but not as much), i used to meet a lot of people.

ice t - he was a keynote at cmj one year and i interviewed him. he was very nice and funny, but i seriously can't get over his gross past, or his misogyny. he called russell simmons a "shark!" (but a lot of hip hop people have said russell is shady.)
mos def - SO nice and super hot.
john leguizamo - he was doing a "test" version of a new stand-up act, and i got to be in the audience, because i was doing a photo residency at the place he was performing at. very friendly, and even joked about me running to the bathroom during his performance.
danzig - SHORTSHORTSHORT. very nice, though.

various other hedz.

Did you ever meet George Strait?  I am a huge country music fan.  Who are some of the other singers you met and how were they?

Oh I have another one to add that I forgot about.  I've met Beck a few times.  Once when I was 15 and in highschool - 10 years ago - and again at a show about a year ago.  Both times I was lucky enough to meet him after the shows and both times, he was so sweet and nice.  He's very soft-spoken, but totally takes the time to meet w/fans and shake hands and sign autographs.  The first time I met him, he wasn't really well-known, but the 2nd time he was and I was pleased to see that he was still just as nice.

I saw Sienna Miller pick a wedgie. After assisting her, I ran back to the security office to watch her on their cameras. She had her back to a wall, and there was a security camera in the ceiling above her. She obviously didn't realize some fashion freak was stalking her! I was so embarrassed, but I really wanted to get a good look at her outfit lol! She was adorable, and so nice.

Hmm, I guess I've technically met Tracy Bingham (Baywatch).  She was originally married to a guy from my town (the huge wedding was even here, lots of other Baywatch stars were in it), and one of the times they were in town they came in to watch a movie at the theatre I worked at.  I tore their tickets.  She came off as pretty nice, even for the 5 seconds I actually talked to her.  She is reeeeallly tiny in real life.

I wasn't working these nights, but Dustin Diamond and Neil Diamond both visited the theatre when they were in town.

oh my goodness, i had no idea he was married (then or now), but he didn't do anything disrespectful in the least--we didn't even speak.  my friend and i were weaving through the crowd to go out to the patio area, i got seperated from my friend, and i was standing about a foot away from him and he was sitting on a stool by the bar area and we just made eye contact (i didn't even recognize him at first).  it was long eye contact though and you know those moments that seem to last forever?  it was like one of those.  and then he smiled at me and i smiled back and then my friend reached back for me, took my hand and led me through the crowd.  and when i told her she was like oh my gosh i didn't even know that was him, i was trying to get to that hot guy from 90210! sigh, fun memories.

Erin, I wouldn't doubt it if Russell Simmons is shady. Have you seen his house on cribs? He is probably getting a little more money that he should from all of those artists!!! I can't stand his wife, she seems so very EVIL!!
