Ok, as many of you know, i bought the eyelet suede Coach bag a couple of weeks ago. However, after using it a few times, the brass rubbed off around the rings and made black marks. There is also a black streak across the front from the brass (the strap fell on the bag). I took it to a shoe repair and the guy was like- it's a bad design, take it back =( I LOVE this bag, so much. I called Coach and they told me they hadn't had anyone send it back for this problem, so it might just be my bag. I took it to the store and they sent it back, they said it would be 6-8 weeks...I've only had the bag for 2 weeks and it was $500!! I'm so annoyed. Well, I call Coach to see how many they have left of the bag- there is only 2 left, and they were returned items, so they might not be in sellable condition. I place the order anyway, out of fear, just to see if they are sellable (she said thats the only way to know.) I am just hoping they give me my money back for the first bag. I had it 2 weeks!!!! Well, since i LOVE the bag, I place the order anyway, which may not even be fillable. So I'm looking at completed auctions on eBay and I see this:
This is what my bag looked like after 2 weeks but worse! (minus all the pen marks and other stains of course) So now I think its just a flaw with the bag in general, and I'm better off just not keeping the bag at all, sending back the second one if they have it, and getting my money back. I love this bag so much though- I'm so sad!! If it had come in black or dark brown it would be perfect and you wouldn't see the stains. OYYYY. What I hope they do is refund all my money and give me a coupon off another purchase, so that maybe there will be something cute in the fall? I really don't like the coach logo bags, so that is not an option, but maybe they will have a cute limited edition line like they did last year with the orangey brown vintage studded collection? I am really sad- I LOVE this bag but it seems that every bag I own will do the same thing.
That sucks so much. I sold Coach bags at a dept store for three years and while I never worked directly with the company, I obviously had many customers who had and they were all happy. When I first started selling them, I would ask customers what made them love their Coach bags and want to buy more and the #1 answer was a tie between "the leather feels so nice" (yeah, really) and "great customer service." So my opinion is that Coach will probably do anything to help you. This may make you rethink your choice on purchasing a suede bag though. They are hard to take care of and require much maintenance.
I know I am so sad! I know suede is hard to take care of, but its literally the brass that is rubbing off onto the bag. I went to bed, left my bag sitting there, and woke up to a streak across the bag! I wasn't even wearing jeans or anything! I'm SO heartbroken, as much as you can be over a bag. I don't usually love bags, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart.
