Which lamp shade do you prefer?

I know this is like my 18th post about lamps, but I am trying to phase out my cheap Target/hand-me down lamps and buy nice lamps. I am asking for this lamp for Christmas, but I'm not sure which lamp shade I like.

LargeParallaxTableLamp.jpgI like the color of this shade, but not the pleating. They make rectangular shades identical to the above, but they have several colors and fabric options.

Do you like lampshade #1 or #2 better (#2 meaning the color of that shade but w/out the pleating)? My friend told my #1 looked "beachy." Thanks!

#2 - #1 has too much pattern and it clashes with the base.

I personally like no. 1, but if your gut tells you to go with no. 2, than I would get that one!

I like one as well, but I agree that it does have a more casual vibe to it (which I'm guessing is what your friend meant by "beachy?)

Interesting... I'm surprised #1 is more popular. I like #2 better, so I'll go with that one. Now I just have to wait for a coupon code. Thanks girls!

Boots - yeah, I think that's what she meant. The raffia shade just makes it look more organic/natural which I think equates to casual/beachy.
