So I am a 3L and will be graduating in May, and I have no idea how to find a legal job. I have an appointment next week with the career center at my school, but based on past experiences, I have a suspicion that they are only interested in helping the students with really good grades. Which brings me to my embarrassing gpa. It's a less than a 3.0. I got a D my first year, and a fews Cs along the way, as well as several BCs. I was hoping to get it above a 3.0, but they changed our grading scale to a normal one (A, A-, B+, B, etc.) and people are saying it will be harder to get good grades. I don't know if that's true, but anyways. I feel I am limited in my job prospects not only b/c of my pitiful gpa, but b/c I don't have that much in the way of job experience. Besides getting a job at a public defender's office one summer, the rest is mainly volunteering work.
With that said, how did you find your job? When did you start applying? How many resumes did you send out? Any other tips! Thanks so much!
