well my mom's house is safe, but yesterday morning my mom had to put my dog Red to sleep. He was my "first" dog. We had one before Red, but Shadow was my mom's dog, Red was mine. He was 13 or 14 years old, which is really old for a mastiff/lab mix. His hind end started to give out the other week and then Saturday night he was really slow and tired. Sunday morning he couldn't catch his breath and was really drooly, so my mom took him to the emergency hospital. Turns out he was going into heart failure, and since he was so old it was the best thing to do. I just feel bad becasue I didn't get to say goodbye...
I'm sorry you're going through this. I have too and it's a very sad thing. I cried and cried when I put my cat to sleep. Hope you feel better soon, but letting it all out now will help you.
I'm so sorry you lost your dog. It's a very sad, painful thing. I had to put my dog to sleep a year ago right before Christmas and it was like losing a brother - we had a poodle and he lived to be 20! I cried for a long time over him, so I know how you feel. Hang in there...it will get better with time. Just keep lots of pics around of him.
Oh you poor thing. I know the heartbreak you feel, but I promise that it will get easier. Make sure you keep busy, it helps to take your mind off the loss.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know Red must have had a great life. It is so sad to lose a dog. They are such loving animals and they truly become members of the family. I hope things start to go better for you.
