Who says he doesn't?

On the plus side, you don't have to feel creeped out and guilty that you ruined his life by making him unwilling or unable to find happiness with another person. Whew!

I understand completely. It's a weird, sort of awkward feeling. You don't want him, but you don't necessarily want him to have found somebody that he thinks is better than you (she so isn't, but what does he know?)  Guys tend to marry the girl they date right after me, so I have a lot of experience with this.hmm

I've learned to laugh it off. Ten minutes with the guy is usually enough to remind me why we weren't  together anymore. "Dodged a bullet" is a term I use more often than not to describe it. wink

I relate to the feeling.

But laugh it off, you know better. Plus if you ever really cared about him, somewhere inside of you, you can hope for his happiness.

On the other side of things, I wonder if any exes cared when I got married or will care when I get into a new relationship...? Or what they might have thought when I got divorced.

Me, too. It's like the pickle jar effect. You try to loosen the damn lid and you loosen it almost enough to open it, but not quite. So you pass it to the next person, who opens it with ease. Yeah. Every single guy I've dated since I've been 20 has married the person they dated after me (with the exception of Stupid- he's single. Again. And it pleases me to no end because he's such a loser. biggrin).

So, yeah, it's normal to feel the way you're feeling. Totally understood.

Totally understandable. I just found out my crazy ex (we broke up 2.5 yrs ago) just moved in with his gf. Even though I never really wanted him (he proposed & I said no), it still irked me a bit that he's moved on to such degree. My friend's comment when I mentioned it to her: "OMG, someone took him?"
Ha! Overall though, I am happy for him. I'm really glad that he found someone who cares about him that much because I simply cannot fathom how she does it (I sound horrible I know).

If he got engaged it doesn't mean she's better then you... Every pot has its lid. Maybe your issue is simply because he did it before you...so what?! He's not YOUR cup of tea. Let her have it...You'll find your lid! ( a better one!)wink
