Did anyone else watch this show last night? I didn't think the geeks were that bad.. well maybe except for Richard (see below)
For some reason, I didn't realize that this was a reality show (from the ads)... I thought that it was a teen comedy movie. Anyway, I liked it! My bf and I were cracking up... definitely will help the summer tv blues.
We watched it too & although I knew it was a reality show, I thought it would be more of a dating show. I am SOOO glad it's not, I really thought it was funny. I didn't think the guys were that ugly, but when they started talking, they so are geeks - like the doctor, I know I'm smarter than those girls, but I had to agree with the one who said when he talked sometimes she thought he was speanking another language. And oh, of course the president of the dukes of hazzard fan club? When they showed that split screen, he did rather look like Enos!!! LOL That is dorky much!!!!
And I have a friend that is JUST LIKE Lauren, only is 45. It is uncanny.

we watched some of it (SO has an obsession with "That 70's Show" and they had 2 hours worth of episodes last night so we had to switch back and forth)
however- we had to wipe tears away from our eyes from laughing when the one girl said: "I just hope i can show him that pretty girls have nerdy secrets too- like the next pretty girl he sees on the street he can think "i bet she wears a retainer to bed at night or maybe she just pooped her pants""
Haha, I thought this show was great. Especially since I just started dating a guy is a PhD student in chem and bio, and when it came on he said, "hey, that's like us, beauty and the geek." Except the guy I'm dating has a body to die for.... ahem, anyway, enough of that!
i just found out, way belatedly, that one of my college friends was not only on this show but was apparently the one who won it! I must check out the web site now... I don't have cable and have missed the entire thing!
A medical student living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 27-year-old Chuck enjoys practicing his martial arts skills and going to the movies when he isn't working 30-hour shifts at the hospital. Chuck plans to continue his studies and pursue a career as a medical doctor focusing on traumatic brain injuries.
This 24-year-old aspiring fashion expert currently resides in California and enjoys spending her free time at the horse races, finding it intellectually challenging. When she's not betting on horses, she likes to head back to her home state and go snow skiing.
OMG I cannot get over this. The biggest joke of it is that he slept with EVERYONE in college (not inc. me). Men, women... he is not socially handicapped in the LEAST. Another friend of mine who knows him says he won just because he figured out what the producers were looking for and played up to it as hard as he could. SO Chuck. Hahahahaha...
i've been watching since almost day one & was so mad richard didn't win!! even tho he was dorky & irritating at times, i felt like he was the most real person there. chuck was a jerk & didn't strike me as a "geek" but more of just a regular guy w/ a few eccentricities. i really want them to do a reverse of the show tho & have girls be the geeks & the beauties be frat/meat-head type guys. i think that would be so funny! anyways, ya i'm so mad richard lost!
Crystal that's so true... he is a regular guy with a few marked eccentricities... I seem to remember a barefoot phase, among other things, although I could be thinking of someone else. The kid is DEFINITELY smart as hell, though. And one of those people who take visible delight in being a bit of an oddball... which I applaud!
I've been watching this show from the start. Holy crap, Richard isn't just a geek, he is The Geek! But I do think that his intentions were genuine and real. You could tell that Chuck really isn't a true geek. So funny, sephorablue that you know him.
