So I finally got my dermatologist to put me on Accutane! I was fully prepared for hellish side effects, but to be honest it hasn't been that bad (yet). I was most concerned about the potential to increase depressive moods and such, but so far things have been good! I've only been on it for a month (I'll be doing the typical 6-month course) so hopefully things will stay this pleasant! My derm. told me once winter hits I will probably need to do a saline nasal spray to prevent nose bleeds (!!) and I may not be able to wear my contacts, due to dryness and irritation. My family and friends have all tried convincing me it's not worth it, but I DEFINITELY think it is. I have been on 9 different medications for my acne over the last eight years, spend thousands of dollars on crap that doesnt work and suffered emotionally because of it. I am more than willing to suffer for siz months in exchange for oil-free skin and NO MORE ACNE! Wahoo!
I know a few people have mentioned being on it before...How was your experience? How is your skin now? Any advice for me?

I've never done Accutane myself though I've always been interested. Keep us updated, okay?
I will
