Gap kids?

This may sound odd, but has anyone worn any of the Gap kids stuff before?

I like to buy crops from kids stores because I'm short.  Anything else is just way too long on me.  Most of the cropped pants that I have came from abercrombie kids (I can usually wear a 14 or 16).  Anyway, there's a cute white pair on sale at Gap kids and I don't know what size to get because the size chart does not list hip measurements.  I'd feel weird trying stuff on in the store.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  I think I need a 16 but I'm not sure.

I do this too!

What size do you wear in 'big girls' Gap bottoms?  I wear a 2 in reg. Gap and a 14-ish in Gap Kids.  I find that the rises tend to be higher and the thighs are roomier than adult clothes, but they can be a bit tight in the hips depending on the style.

Have you been to Aeropostale?  Really teeny-bopper, but I get almost all my capris from there - they make short sizes in their jeans too, FWIW.

Thanks!  I usually wear a 2 in regular Gap so I probably need a 14, too.  I go in Aeropostale occasionally but I've never looked at their jeans. I didn't know they made short sizes!  Maybe I'll look into that before ordering the ones from the Gap.

Thanks for the help!

lol, I do this too but I hate to buy without trying them on. just grab the kids clothes and then a few "normal" things too. Put the normal ones on top as you go into the fitting room, and no one else has to know what burried under there. ;)

That's a great idea.  Or if you live near by, then buy it, and return if it doesn't fit right.

That's awesome, I hadn't thought of that! I'll try it next time.
