I bought this Susana Monaco skirt in the green that is featured on the model's top in the other picture. What should I do with the skirt? I would love to see your ideas!
I would put it with a white ruffle front button down and a black or navy cardi. Alternatively, an unadorned top and a ruffled or detailed cardi. I'd probably put black or grey tights and booties for winter.
Is it a knit? I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like a jersey-ish material. Where are you trying to wear it (dress up, dress down)?
Knit bottoms are hard to pair with anything other than knit tops IMO. I find it strange when the top half is more substantial than the bottom half. I'd probably wear it with a clingy knit sleeveless top and black heeled sandals for nighttime, and flat brown or bronze sandals, white beater tank, and maybe a fitted dark denim jacket or 'nice' hoodie for daytime.
In colder weather I agree with black tights/boots and a soft pullover sweater. With that, I'd add a bag in a plum/burgundy shade.
I think it's so versatile: you can wear anything with it, from a simple T-shirt to V-neck sweater. Included light weight tops, fitted & A-line. The only thing, look in the mirror, what flatter you more: to tuck in the shirts ( will the bulge of the tucked in top be too visible), or leave in on top. The color is great, makes the classic silhouette updated. P.S. The latest in style knit draped tops will go wonderful with it.
