Thanks everyone for all the nice comments and well wishes! I don't have much of a life right now so it's fun to read all of your responses.
Karina and Lorelei--Thanks for the mom advice. I need all the help I can get, b/c I was not ready at all for Lucy to come so early! karina--to answer your question, I am not breast feeding. I tried for about a week but she was too little to suck consistently, so I had to supplement with formula and use the pump, which I hated. I tried but the whole thing was miserable for me and my hubby and I finally decided to give it up for our own sanity. it was a really tough decision and came with lots of tears, but I am much better now and Lucy doesn't need a stressed out mommy (IMO). I agree about the donut pillow and already have one. Poor hubby had to go to 4 medical supply stores to find one. I'm using it right now and my butt doesn't hurt at all. The dermoplast is awesome, ITA. They gave me some in the hospital and I've been using it at home. The lack of sleep thing is really tough, she wakes up often in the middle of the night, in b/w feeding screaming and we can't get her to calm down until an hour or two later. it's been really hard and overwhelming. I hope this part of it ends soon or at least I will be better able to cope with the change.
Lorelei--I'm taking your advice on the picture thing and I try to take at least one photo each day. I have heard about the miracle blanket and think I might order one today on your recommendation. She really needs help sleeping more during the night. Also, I've registered for Happiest Baby on the Block and have heard about the No Cry Solution. I will def. check those out. We are trying to do the scheduling thing that's rec'd in the book Babywise. Are those books consistent with that theory--do you know? It's called parent directed feeding (verses attachment feeding).
bumblebee--yes, Lucy does look la lot ike my hubby (or so I've been told). She has his high cheeckbones and wideset eyes, but my nose and mouth.
Farrah--Yes, that's my hubby. I'm glad you approve! He looks a little scruffy there, but I think he's a cutie too (hehe)!
OMG, I am SOOO SOO happy for you! Believe it or not I had been thinking about you because I hadn't "seen" you around for a while. I'm so glad that everything is okay. Your little girl is precious! And your hubbie looks so cute with her, she's tiny! Congratulations A, I am truly glad to see this post!

Oh how wonderful for you! Your baby (and your hubby - hubba hubba!) are so cute!!
I don't have any kids but I've gone through 4 newborns with my brother's kids. With the last one, my sil had trouble with the crying/sleeping thing more than the others. I guess she read it somewhere or heard it somewhere but she kept a stuffed animal tucked inside her shirt for awhile (until it smelled like her) and when my niece had that in her bed, she slept better and went to sleep faster. It took refreshing, if you will, and when the baby was awake, the doll was with my sil so it would keep her smell. Certainly can't hurt, right? Good luck with the sleep part - it's a toughie. You can cry and vent here all you want - we'll sympathize!
as always, i am really late catching up with all of the exciting news!
congratulations!! i am so thrilled for you and your husband! and what a beautiful little girl. i'm relieved to hear that everything went well and that, while a premie, Lucy is healthy!

Hey bluebirde--I'm doing a little better today. Last night Lucy slept really well so I got a chance to catch up on sleep. She has been crying a lot so I took her to the doctor yesterday and she has acid reflux--poor thing. Anyway, she's much better now that she is on zantac. Thanks for asking!
Hey alb! Thanks for sharing the pix -- she is too precious! I hope I get to meet her in July/Aug. Email the pix to my new addy, please. You and A must be so proud; she is gorgeous!

Hey girls! Hotcocoa--yes, OMG she is amazing! I had no idea having a baby would be this exciting. I swear, I am infatuated with her!
FP--There are some updated pics but we haven't downloaded them yet. I'll post more when we get them ready. You're right, she has grown a lot and has gained 2 lbs--she now weighs over 7 lbs. Thanks for asking!
Misty--So good to see you here finally!! I too hope you can meet Lucy and we can catch up in July or August. We will if we make it down there. I'll send you the pics to your new email address. Thanks for responding!
Hope everyone is doing well! It should be getting very close for Karina now.
