Yeah, there are about a million Star Wars books.  In addition to the 6 movies, there are many, many books that go into what happens AFTER the movies.  Most of them are not written by George Lucas.  I'm not sure, but I think he only wrote Episode 4:  A New Hope.  The others are based on his scipts, but he didn't write the actual book.
