Ok, I have never even considered a Coach bag. My most pricey bag is $150, and I thought that was a lot. I'm always like, eh, when I think of spending a ton of money on a bag. I'd rather buy shoes =) SOOOOO, I was watching the OC the other day and fell in love with this bag. I think its perfect for me, its big (i love big bags) and classic but slightly funky. Do you think $498 is too much for a Coach bag? I have graduation money, so that's not the issue, and while I have seen nice bags for that money, I really am not craving a Marc Jacobs or Louis Vuitton bag or anything- I've never really wanted a designer bag that badly. And it's not too trendy, which is important to me- I don't really want an "it" bag. So, do you like it?? Are Coach bags nice?
Well I'm partial to Coach anyway.I like that bag but it's not my fave. But I will say that pic does not do that bag any justice, it is alot cuter IRL.I think you can't really say what is "too much for a coach bag" anymore.Because Coach is stomping with the big dogs- you can go into the store on Madison ave and find a python Coach bag for $1,000+!
So I guess basically if you love it and can't stop thinking about it..................get it!
i love it! it's very cute, and it looks like it is the same style as the large duffle, which i have in a caramel tan color and i have gotten a lot of use out of. it's a very versatile large size.
it does seem like kind of a lot of money, but i guess it's for the grommets and design-ness of it (the plain leather duffle is only around $300).
I think Coach is pretty good quality. There are def. some better bags out there in the price range, but, overall, I've found them to be nice, well-made bags (my mom has a Coach bag from like the 70s that my dad had refurbished for her a couple of years ago!). Also, Coach guarantees their goods for seven years (no receipt needed). If a zipper or strap breaks, etc. they will fix it or replace it for free (you pay $25 for shipping and insurance) if you bring it into any store. After the seven years, they still fix stuff, but you have to pay.
Like everyone else is saying, if you're truly in love with and have the money, I think it is totally worth the price- go for it!!!

coach bags are great quality. if you take care of them properly you will have them for years to come. i have 4 coach bags and one is a huge black tote that i literally beat the crap out of everyday for work and it looks like a million bucks. i love coach bags...
however, the one you have chosen is suede (or looks as though it is from the picture) in my exp. suede is harder to take care of- just make sure you keep it sprayed... it should help with keeping it clean.
enjoy your bag! (i just know you're gonna get it! how can you resist....)

I buy suede protectant spray at Walmart in the shoe department and it works really well for me. You have to post a pic in thread style when you get it!

my shoe guy also recommended UGG spray to me... he says it is one of the best on the market...
