Did anyone else watch it last night? I thought it was such a good episode. I have to say I was not shocked at all when at the end Dr. Shepard's "wife" showed up. I knew when his cell phone kept ringing and he didn't answer that something was up. I have to say that I don't think he's a pig who's married and is cheating. My theory for next season is that they are in the middle of a divorce or seperated, he wants nothing to do w/her and she's trying to stop him from divorcing her. What does everyone else think?
It was a fantastic episode! I loved the Syphillis outbreak, it was hysterical. I loved that they threw in him having a wife, it was such a shock but so cool. But I wonder why none of the older Dr. told her he had a wife?

Gosh I hope they are separated & about to be divorced because I just love him. I'm not surprised either, I figured he was married - seems like i heard that somewhere along the way? But my DH's divorce wasn't "final" when we started dating, and I could TOTALLY see any mad soon-to-be ex-wife doing exactly what she did. You know, divorce takes time!!!! So hopefully it will work out - I have always said that I hate that they started the series together because there's really nowhere for it to go except a break up, which i would hate because I love them together.
So is Christina going to have the baby? Or at least tell Burke?
I so love this show - such a short season - I guess they were just trying it out the first season?

That's why I'm thinking he's not technically married, that maybe he's going through a divorce or something, because otherwise, I think everyone would have told her. Though I did think it was odd when the Chief of Surgery saw them together and told her she was making a big mistake. Maybe I'm just hoping he won't turn out to be a cheating pig, because i love him and he's so hot!!
My theory is that Mrs. Shepherd came from a rich background and the divorce is taking longer than normal because of the split of finances. Dr. Shep did have all that land he seemed like he had recently acquired, right? Wealthy divorces do take longer...but this is a boring explanation, so hopefully it's juicier than that.
Christina is going to have to have that baby, it would add so much warmth to her currently icy character and it will add depth to the storyline.
I thought the Syphillus storyline was icky, but the end made me laugh.

Interesting theory about Dr. Shep's wife being rich. I defintely think there is more to his property w/the trailer home he lives on...
I think Christina is going to have that baby too. And I think Dr. Burke will find out and be there to support it, he seems to really care for her, she just doesn't want to let him in.
did anyone but me think that dr. shepherd's wife looked a lot older than he did? or maybe it was just me.
anyway, i think that was a lame "cliff hanger" ending--of course he's not really a ba****d who is running around cheating on his wife, of course they are in the middle of a nasty divorce that has been dragging on and he hasn't lived with her in over a year, blah blah blah. it seems like all the shows this year are doing that (i am thinking of the OC in particular)--they pretend that it's going to be some super-dramatic storyline, and then you find out next episode that there is a very reasonable and plausible explanation for everything, no one gets hurt, etc. ugh--give me drama! that's why i watch tv!
PS--but in general i did think it was a very good episode. i am especially loving the izzy/christina interactions--i realy liked those scenes and thought the two of them were hilarious. and the thing with alex and george at the end--HA!!
