What do you consider the best hair color for very very fair skin?

I have the fairest skin ever, blue eyes & naturally my hair is very dark brown.

Right now it's a lightish brown with a red tint bc my hair dye has faded...I can't decide whether to try to dye it darker (bc it is my natural color, but i think fair skinned people look so washed out with it) or try & go light brown/dark blonde for a change.

opinions?

I beg you, please do not do as the scary girls with bad health habits at my school did...tan in the tanning bed and douse their hair in the peroxide.

I think that you should just get highlights ranging from a medium brown to a lighter blonde for the summer and go for the contrast of your dark hair with your fair skin during the fall and winter. I am so jealous...I wish I had your coloring!

I agree with the suggestion for highlights. You can get like 3 colors.. med brown, lt. brown and blonde.

Depends on how much damage you want to do to your hair.

What about highlights, maybe in a caramel color?

I think that almost everyone looks their most attractive in a shade close to their natural color with face framing, buttery highlights in two shades, a couple shades lighter and one shade darker for the lowlights.

Well, I'm pretty pale, and my hair is *dark* brown, fairly close to my natural color. Here is my opinion on my coloring.

If my skin is clear, which is about 75% of the time, I love my hair color, and I feel it is striking. However, when my skin is gross (around my period), I feel the darkness makes red sploches and acne much more visible.

Here are some more colors I think are stunning-

Love this highlighted blonde-

Hope that gives you some ideas.

I have very fair skin and blue eyes and naturally dark brown hair. I started dyeing it red in high school cause I loved red hair but over the next few years I started to dye it browner and browner and then a few years ago I ended up back at dark brown. (I now have to dye it just to get it to its natural color cause I'm going gray REALLY early, but that's a whole other issue...) Anyway the point of the story is that I played around with the color but I just think the dark brown is the by far most flattering. I think severe black hair, like Stella Tennant when she first came out, makes really fair skin washed out, but a deep brown shouldn't. Then again, I am biased, because dyed blond hair is a pet peeve of mine--IMO it looks worse then the natural hair color most of the time.

And Eva Green looks absolutely stunning in that picture Amelie posted.

I've got the same coloring, and so does my sister. I think the dark hair can make for a nice contrast, and is especially good at setting off blue eyes.

I will never go very light with my hair, because I have thick, dark eyebrows, and I can't see trying to keep them lightened substantially to match blondish hair. On the other hand, my sister can go lighter, because her eyebrows are quite light in color and much less heavy than mine, even though her hair on the whole is very much like mine.
