Here's the dress I plan to wear to a wedding on Saturday. Last time I wore it, I wore black heels and just some gold jewelry. Very boring. I'd like to jazz it up (OMG I sound like my mom) a little for this wedding. What should I do w/ it? The wedding is at 4pm outside. I live in Phoenix, so it's going to be HOT. I definitely don't need a wrap. It's a black sheath w/ a lace overlay. It hits me about 5"above my knees and the lace falls down about an inch past the satin sheath. Same w/ the top part. It's a really cute dress on, and I'd like to make it work because it fits like a glove.
How would you accessorize? I'm going shopping in a few hours, so any quick suggestions would be appreciated. I'm in a fashion-funk right now. I think the creative part of my brain is hibernating this week. (BTW, the white dot on the front is from the camera).
i don't know if you'll think this is cheesy, but i was thinking about making a silk flower hair clip/pin for my puerto rico trip. i think that would be a nice way to summer-ize your dress.
you could probably make your own or buy one. these are from hairboutique.com. sorry these images are so huge.
also your dress gives me art deco vibes. what about a sequined caplet and some peep-toe t-straps?
