Starbucks & J.Crew Story
Permalink Closed

So  the hubby dragged me out of bed this morning to get the free pastry with drink deal at Starbucks this morning. I grab clothing quickly, making sure to grab a cardigan since it is always freezing in the store closest to us.

When we go in I see that the girl in front of me is wearing head to toe J.Crew. Then I see her looking at me, and I realize I'm wearing a J.crew tee and cardigan, lol.

Then, I kid you not, 1, 2, 3 customers get in line behind me, all wearing J.Crew pieces. It was like a Stepford Wives convention, with all the girls checking each other out. I *think* the three girls behind me were together, so I assume it was one of those "oh, your clothes are cute, where do you shop because I'm going to shop there too" situations.

I was the only one not dressed up, looking like hell on wheels with destroyed jeans and flip flops with my outfit. I only have a few J.Crew pieces and of course I end up wearing both todaysmile. Sorry that this is a stupid story but this is the time I am normally waking up, so now I'm hyped up on hot cocoa and devoid of sleep.

This neighborhood we drive to is such a odd mix, hippies mingle with upper class preppies. Several people drive these weird safari trucks, like they think the desert or jungle is suddenly going to appear.

That is awesome.

One time last December I picked up ShopChicago for a girls day of lunch and shopping. Seeing as how it was December in Chicago we naturally were wearing coats. We got about 5 blocks from her house when something possessed her to ask me what I was wearing...ummm yeah, we were wearing the exact same jeans and gold sweaters from Anthro. Needless to say I had to turn the car around so she could change her top.

You wanna hear the funniest part of the story though? We were on our way to Anthro...boy, we REALLY would have looked like a couple of Stepford Wives. HAHAHAHA!!
