Lisa, I don't mean to hijack your post, but I have a question. I remember you are a veg*an, which protein bar do you eat?

Thanks

Hey! I'm actually not a vegan - just a vegetarian. But, I eat the Cliff bar "Builder's" bar. It's all organic, got tons of protein - 20grams (and a lot of calories - 270). And I THINK it is vegan-friendly. From what I can tell on the wrapper --- It says "May contain traces of dairy or peanuts. We source ingredients which do not contain wheat, dairy, or GMOs" and none of the proteins are from animal sources, nor anything else that's listed (again, as far as I know). Most importantly, it is fantastically YUMMY!    HTH

I'll try to start posting again.

So far:

Grape Juice (4 pts), Banana (1.5 pts), 3 Mini Bran Muffins (3)

Probably soup and salad for lunch, and shrimp stir fry from Trader Joes with Rice for dinner, and a Fudgesicle for a snack!

Yesterday for dinner I had the meatless meatballs from Trader Joes, which I sauteed in Olive Oil, with spaghetti and pasta sauce...so good.  I would definitely recommend the meatballs, they're so easy to make, very healthy, and very yummy!

I have such a problem today!!! I'm eating! And I can't stop eating!! Why, why, why???

B: kashi go lean crunch, no milk

L: spicy chicken sandwich from wendy's, no mayo / cup of berries (straw, rasp, blue)

S: pecans!!! good god the pecans!!! once one goes into my mouth another goes into my hand - i'm not sure i can stop the viscious cycle! (Okay, seriously - and I hope no one's reading this post anymore - I ate ALL .61 lbs of the pecans!!! It was the most horrendous thing ever. But sooo yummy. I don't think I'll be eating pecans for a very, very long time.)

D: something healthy, fo' sure. either a veggie plate at a nearby restaurant or something from a persian restaurant (it's my friend's bday and he hasn't decided which one he wants to go to yet) I had the veggie plate after all. He ended up wanting to go to that one instead of the Persian place, although bumblebee's suggestions sounded good so I'll keep them in mind for next time.

Any suggestions on healthy persian food???

E: 3 mile walk after work and before dinner. I think I'll try and make it at least a partial run - coughing be damned - I command thy remains of thy cold germs to leave my body.

blubirde, you're funny.  i love persian food--you can eat pretty healthy at a persian restaurant, just take it easy on the sauces.  get a kebab with chicken and some veggies and rice.  and rosewater ice cream--mmm.  or the dessert that the persian restaurant i go to calls "frozen starch" which i am positive is not the correctly translated name!

ok, on to me:

b: coffee w/half & half, luna bar, 1/2 a "multi-grain" scone which was quite bizarre and probably intensely fat-laden.

l: caesar salad with chicken.  successfully resisted the bread plate at restaurant--proud of self.

d: have pretty much nothing at my house, except lean cuisine and i'm so tired of those.

s: lime popsicle

e: none as i am taking a class tonight
