I can't believe it, I'm in shock. I mean, Farrah Fawcett's death is also sad, but it was kind of expected since we all knew she was sick. MJ's was sudden, which is always going to be more shocking.
I really think MJ to our generation was like Elvis. I wasn't even a huge Michael Jackson fan growing up, but his songs are woven throughout my entire childhood. Very sad. It's weird too--I've felt a mixture of sadness and pity for him since he died. Setting aside the pedophilia accusations, he was still a deeply disturbed person and appeared to live a pretty lonely existence, which, no matter who you are or how famous, is a very sad thing.
