(start the happy dance, girls!)

Seriously, I was in the bathroom staring at the mirror and picking at my face (ick!) and he was in the other room working on a coloring page when all of a sudden I hear "Carefully copy the picture into the grid on the next page".  Whiplash, people, whiplash... Ran into the other room and made him read it again, flipped the page over and made him read "Books are best when shared with a friend". 

My heart burst....like full on OMG GAH AAAAAH!!!!  And then we did the happy dance!

P.s.-small type for this one: little tiny voice in the back of my head says nah-nah, take that you lousy ex-hubby!  i get the bad and the good...and damn this is good!  and it's on me...i get the first cause i'm the one that's here and making it happen...so SUCK IT LOSER!!!

Thanks gals, for responding. This was a crazy big moment for us...one I had at one point been told might never come. I LOVE that my child is proving his naysayers wrong!
