Hi Guys! I am pretty new to this site, but been using ebay for a few yers now (mostly to sell my own stuff). My question is since I've seen some people ask - do people actually sell FAKE CLOTHES? I mean, luxury goods (purses, wallets, jewelry) i am aware and never bought for such reasons. I just wonder since I've been seeing a lot more sellers from HK and China, are they possibly fake clothes? I bought a NJ coat, and it was expensive but it also wasn't cheap, and just wondering more and more now. Like the previous post about TR jeans - they make Fake TR jeans?
However, I think there is much less chance of a pair of jeans on e-bay being fake than a bag. I would stay away from sellers that are out of the country when buying designer goods. It is possible that many of them are selling the real deal, but it is not something I would want to risk.
generally, I feel like if there is an abundance of 1 type of item from a brand, there are a lot of fakes. For example, I think all the antiks on ebay are probably authentic because there aren't that many, and they probably havent had time to make good fakes yet since it is a new trend. As for the seven pink A pockets....well those fakes are everywhere. Here is a good site that I use for detecting fake jeans www.honestdave.com
Thanks guys. I guess I will have to be careful. I have never bought jeans or bags on ebay. I just think the bags are too risky and jeans (you really need to try them on).
That's kinda shocking though about fake 7's and COH's. Sheesh! That's just sad. I sold a pair of See by Chloe jeans once and would never have even thought people were selling fakes.
Okay - what do you guys think then of Juicy and MJ stuff? I tend to check those alot. And what about nice shoes?
take a look at some of the stuff on ioffer.com- they make replicas of *everything*. I thought shoes were safe, but no. They even make fake Lacoste polos...dude, the real things are only like 70 bucks
