I know a lot of girls really like Stila's Illuminating Powder foundation. I tried it at Sephora and I did like the finish and the fact that I'm a perfect color match with 40 watts. How's the coverage and will it work on oily skin? I'm an oli slick as the day goes on with my bare escentuals and I'm wondering if this would make a difference. Also, is it neccessary to buy the $20 compact to go with it? That seems like the biggest ripoff in history.
I love the IPF! I can't really comment on the oil factor (I have combination/dry skin, but it does take the shine off my nose & forehead), but the coverage is beautiful -- I'd say medium/light.
Oh, and don't buy the Stila compact. If you're going to just keep it in your makeup case/drawer (what I did during the winter, when I wore TM instead of powder), you can just keep the plastic casing it comes in. Otherwise, the powder fits perfectly into this Anna Sui one, which is only $8.50 (and much cuter, IMO):
