is halfoffdeals.com legit?
Permalink Closed

I just found this site and it appears to be legit, but I'm always a little cautious when it comes to places selling GC's for 50% off their value... I'm really curious because they happen to have a deal for the only salon I go to and I really need a pro cut ASAP. haha.
Any experiences would be appreciated!!

I've ordered restaurant GCs from there through a local radio station. I will probably be buying a few more in the near future.

Make sure you read all of the fine print on the deal. Some offers have very strict restrictions. And make sure that the place you are buying for is going to be in business for a while. I've known people who have bought GCs for certain places only to have them go out of business before they can use the GC. It took about 2 or 3 weeks for the GC to be mailed to me.

Restarants.com is another site like that.  You can get GC's for half off. We wait until they have a sale and we get them for 80% off their stated value.  You can only use one GC per month at each rest - but it's worth it!

I'm glad you mentioned this - I've always been wary of restaurant.com because it seemed too good to be true...but now that I've heard it's OK from a real person I'll have to check it out!

I've used Restaurants.com as well and it has worked out really well for us.  You just have to read the restrictions - usually specific days/times and dollar amounts but otherwise no issues with using them.  I usually buy when there is a sale and go through a cash back shopping site so that I can earn a little money back and spend even less money in the deal.
