they look like a very classic elegant style, and therefore worth the money (sale for $232, retail $485), but i would love opinions. also, does anyone know about the comfort/quality of celine shoes?
I personally am a little too young for those shoes, but they look very fashionable and classic. They remind me of something the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy would wear with smart trousers and a crisp button down.
I'm also too young for these shoes, but I feel that the sides have too much leather in them. That said, in a super conservative office setting, shoes like these would be very nice and funky in a classy, non-offensive way.
I think the style is beautiful, but the leather is a little too shiny for me. But to be honest the leather looks a little cheap and the white stiching is throwing me off for over $200.
I dont' have any because, well, I'm in school. But they carried them in several places I used to shop. IMO, the quality wasn't so hot. And I agree, the white stitching looks a little too big, and the leather is a little too shiny. Plus, the place where the heel meets the shoe somehow looks a little clunky and poorly made. And the way they're cut, I'll bet they'll crease horribly the first time you wear them. God I hate poorly made expensive shoes. Of course, it's hard to tell much from a picture. If you see them in person, they may be better.
