I felt bad about hijacking tara t's thread, so I decided to start one on Wendy Williams.
I'm so glad there are other STer's out there listening to her. I think she is so damned funny. I listen to her every day. I especially love her new, "Gangsta Hour," which is really the bonus hour, but you know it's the Gangsta Hour in her head. hee, hee (I don't know why, but I think that is so hilarious!)
Did anyone hear her talking about Cisco the other day? She was talking about a new movie he is in and who would go to see such a movie (because he is playing some kind of ladies man, but he is flaming gay and the whole point was basically who is going to buy it?). Wendy is from Neptune, NJ and went to Ocean Twsp. High. Anyway, she was saying that people from her high school would go; kind of clueless and out of touch kids. It was really funny to me, because she is talking about my hometown; not Ocean specifically, but Monmouth County in general. I guess I feel a special connection with her because she is from here. It's kind of funny, because she loves the ghetto talk and s*** slinging, and this area is kind of snobby and not at all ghetto.
I guess I am just rambling. Your thoughts on Miss Wendy?
oh my god! i miss wendy. i used to listen to her all the time when i was in philly. i felt so ridiculous laughing by myself in the car, but she is sooo funny. my favorite was the jump off guy's two girls fighting on the phone, whitney bashing, etc...
i saw the show on vh1 one time and she asked portia de rossi about her being naked in the jacuzzi with a chick and portia left sooo mad.
i've never listened to a radio talk show before, but she was just sooo funny and out of control.

Drew, I heard her talking about the Sisqo movie the other day, but I must have missed the "he's gay" story. They kept playing the "how you doin?" sound clip (which cracks me up everytime), so I assumed they were saying he's gay...but was there a larger story behind that?

She is a radio personality, but she is starting to get into TV, with VH1, as someone mentioned. She can be heard on the internet too. Not sure how, but you could probably google her to find out where to listen to her show. She tries to appeal to the black community, but lots of races listen. She basically gives advice and slings dirt about famous people. She claims Usher is gay and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith have an open marriage.
I haven't seen her on TV or read the book, but I would like to.
i've never heard of wendy williams, but i have heard that will smith and jada have an open marriage...they just have to get "clearance" before sleeping with someone else. if it's true, it's freaky - i could never be okay with that.
