(Dumping first...) Okay- background information: I may have mentioned before that I hate lunch. I hate having to stop what I am doing smack-dab in the middle of the day--only to have to come back and try to get interested in work again for the afternoon.
Also, I hate having to figure out what I am going to eat everyday. I can't go home, and I am not organized enough to constantly bring something with me for lunch.
On top of that, the restaurants around here don't offer enough healthy options. One more thing - nothing ever sounds good. I have no appetite at 1:00 in the afternoon, though I am totally hungry. I sometimes wish I could just swallow a tasteless pill that would expand in my stomach (like that expanding foam insulation)
If I were to drink a protein shake with the following nutritional information on most days and munch on veggies and fruit on an ongoing basis (snacks) throughout the day, do you think I'd be okay? Would I be really messing up my health?

I don't do whey and would want to know what a "protein blend" is before I'd eat that. And why add cholesterol to your life?
Have you checked out Vega - the "whole health optimizer?" It's generally intended for athletes but is a fine meal replacement for the rest of us. The protein is mainly from hemp and flax plus it has nutritionally dense "superfoods" like maca and chlorella, and probiotics, and and and...a lot of good stuff.
I don't eat lunch either. I'm just not that hungry in the afternoon and I hate that sleepy feeling I get after I eat a regular sized lunch. I tend to eat a piece of fruit or a cup of yogurt around 2PM very day. But I do eat a good breakfast and a healthy dinner each day to balance it out.
I wouldn't drink a meal replacement drink instead of eating regular food. If you eat when you are hungry and choose food that is healthy, you should be fine.
Someone I work with ate Fiber35 FitSmart Shakes for Breakfast and Lunch for about two months straight and snacked on fruit in between. Here is the nutritional value and a site where you can get it if you're interested:
All-natural shake mix: 20 grams of protein 10 grams of fiber 165 calories per serving Delicious, easy to prepare Rich in vitamins and nutrients
he Fiber35 FitSmart Shake is a nutrient-rich meal supplement you can enjoy with or between meals for a great-tasting energy boost. Each serving contains 20 grams of whey protein and 10 grams of natural acacia fiber to help fill your stomach and leave you feeling satisfied.
Protein and fiber are two critical ingredients in maintaining a healthy body weight. Protein is used for every process the body undertakes. It is crucial that we get enough healthy protein in our diet to maintain our lean muscle mass.
The other main ingredient in the FitSmart Shake is fiber. Fiber plays several important roles in maintaining healthy body weight. Fiber helps to slow down the rate at which the body converts carbohydrates into sugar, making it a powerful weight management tool.* Fiber has no calories and fills the stomach, making you feel fuller for longer periods of time.
In addition to protein and fiber, each serving provides a blend of 7 digestive enzymes to help break down the whey and acacia fiber for easy digestion. The addition of 15 vitamins and minerals will help maintain your bodys health.
