Is anyone else getting really pissed with the ABC with the way they are milking the Lost episodes (Desperate Housewives as well)? Next week both shows are running "specials" to update viewers on everything that has happened on the shows to date. I swear I am not going to let them suck me in next season...I'll make myself wait for the DVDs.

You have to remember that the TV season runs from late Sept to late May. That is 8 months which translates to 32 - 34 weeks. Most programs only show 23 - 26 episodes a season which means that there will be re-runs.

Also, they are both new shows so they only make a certain number and then they have to make more. Apparently they shot the episode that Boone died less than a month ago.

hey girls, just thought i'd let ya'll know that when i was in hawaii we drove onto the Lost set!! i saw locke & kate just walking around but was too embarassed to ask for autographs/pictures. it was amazing tho, no security or anything so we just drove around their set a couple times... sadly no sawyer sighting .

as for the dragging out of the shows (L & DH), i totall agree that it sux! i mean, a lot of networks these days are doing the split season thing where they constantly run new episodes & when they run out they start a new show with new episodes every week. u have to wait longer for ur show to come back after the season is over but it's worth it to not have to watch a million reruns! in fact, ABC is doing this with Alias, so why not Lost & DH (i guess cuz their new like Farrah said).

Remember though, Alias didn't start this season until the end of January;).

The channel I was watching kept advertising "new episode of Lost...NEXT!!!". And it was a repeat. BF and I were looking forward to the new episode and then.....the dissapointing realization that we'd seen it before....

I am hating the re-run in the middle of the season thing too - i know the season is actually more episodes than most shows, but don't you remember when we were kids (well, some of you, I'm 32) that they would run an entire season & then do a re-run season in the summer? I guess that's what is frustrating - even if they want to get people updated, i'm sure it's confusing for them too!!!! rerun, new episode, rerun rerun, new episode - YUCK
