dry shampoo question

I did a search of this board to read some reviews on dry shampoo.  My question is, if I start using a dry shampoo, how often do I need to actually wash my hair the old fashioned way with water?  I have gotten to where I hate to wash my hair, but because it is oily, I can't go more than two days w/o washing.

It's probably different for everyone, based on one's level of oiliness, daily activities, and tolerance.  I just tried dry shampoo for the first time this weekend, and I can see that I will get only one extra day out of it--which is fine for me if I don't blow out my hair.

Ditto.  I use it for more volume or to reliven a style or if I don't have time to shampoo in the AM but it is certainly not  a substitute and actually my hair feels .. different after using so I am usually eager to shampoo it all out the next day.
