This will sound crazy, but I can not decide if I love them or hate them. And I'm pretty sure this is the kind of shoe where it would be one or the other and not anything in between.

The madras is likeable but a lot all at the same time!

I'm not crazy about the ones you posted. However, I have a pair of pink madras Chucks and I really like them. They're a lot cuter in person. Maybe it's just my monitor but these look almost neon, and they're not.

itsapinkthing - i totally know what you mean about needing shoes for walks with the kids and the playground! i am so tired of always having to wash my dirty feet off after wearing flip flops to the playground!

if it helps at all, i think i am going to go with chucks - so that would be my suggestion for you too. as far as color, i would just get what you like, i.e. the madras. have you tried the site that nunzi posted in the other link? i think they had some in plaid. i'm trying to decide btw navy, black, or ivory. hth some - let me know what you decide!

itsapinkthing - I looked around for the madras chucks and I can't find them anywhere except ebay and those are all men's size 12. I got mine at the outlet, but it it was awhile ago, about two years I think. I'll be back there sometime this week, so if you'd like, I can look. Not sure if they still have them though.

Thanks guys. I think Im going to watch eBay for a bit, but those Jack Purcell's are in the running too now. I tried the Polo ones on today and actually really liked them. The picture I posted is actually a small size and that may be why they look funny. When I tried them on I think they looked cute. So, I tried on some chucks too, and they made my feet look kind of large?

I really like the Polo ones you posted. I too like sneakers that don't make my feet look too long because I am short. Chuck's seem too long to me and make my feel look like I'm wearing clown shoes.
