Dom, check out the entertainment section. Farrah and I will be there too! Be forewarned, I saw them last year at Summerfest and I was v. disappointed with their live performance. Still, I'm going again because I'm a dork that way. Who knows, maybe they've improved by now. Either way he's a cutie!

I saw LESS THAN JAKE last night, so I'm kind of on a show roll. :) I'm excited, but we'll see - hopefully, I'm not expecting too much in terms of quality.
Is UIC Pavilion general admission? I'm meeting my friends around 7pm, when doors open. I hate standing though. :(
Oh, and The Thrills are supposed to be actually pretty good. They're Irish.
Usually there's general floor admission, then the #100 & #200 seats are assigned seating. The #100 seats are a semi-circle closest to the stage, then #200 above those, etc.
If you have GA tickets you'll be closest, but this area is not elevated. We should look out for one another!!

Dom we were in the second to last row on the floor right next to the sound booth. Wasn't it great?!!
BTW, do you want to know the best part of the concert? Sting was 5 feet away from us!! Yes you heard me right, Sting!! He waved to Vanessa and I and can I just tell you he is probably the most handsome older man that I have ever seen in person!! When they played Message in a Bottle we kept waiting for him to come on stage and sing with them, ha!!

Vanessa sent me a text message last night, so I knew about Sting. Awesome that you got to see him! :) We had balcony seats, which weren't that great, but I still had a really good time. How did you get such good seats? We bought ours pre-sale, and got best available, and they were just okay.
Also, I read in the paper this morning that Sting made a surprise appearance at UIC on Monday. He was there with the MTV crew filming an episode of some show called "Stand In." He was there to "stand in" for a professor at a lecture. The students didn't know it was happening, and Sting just showed up to teach. Crazy, huh?
That explains why he stuck around until yesterday to see Maroon 5. And then M5 covered "Message In A Bottle". Brown-nosers...
He taught a lecture? Too cool!! I wonder if half of them even knew who he was? I actually thought that he showed up because he heard that they were covering Message In a Bottle.
How did I get the tickets? They were totally sold out (which made me very sad) and I checked TicketMaster on Sunday morning and there were 3 right on the floor so I snatched them up!! Do you think it had anything to do with the fact that it was Sunday Morning? HA!!

Anyway, as much fun as I had, I thought the sound kinda sucked. I really like the guy's voice, but you could barely hear it through the overwhelming music. Baaaad accoustic. That's the one thing that disappointed me.
Otherwise, it seems like everyone and their mother was at that show. I ran into several random people, and then you guys were there. Funny.
