Make your own makeup brush cleanser

I was all inspired to clean my brushes yesterday.  Normally I use MAC's cleanser but it goes so fast that I've only used it for 4 rounds of cleaning and the bottle is almost gone.  I found a recipe to make my own cleanser and it worked very well!

Here's the recipe:
1 cup bottled/filtered water
1/4 cup alcohol
1/4 tbsp shampoo
1/4 tbsp dishwash detergent
1 tbsp leave in conditioner

I put it in my old MAC bottle but also plan on putting some in a lil spray bottle for quick cleanups.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I want to be using dish detergent on my face...

I don't think it would be so bad. I mean, it's not like you're slathering it on your face, just washing your brushes with it and then rinsing it out! I had impentigo once (oooh la la) and for a week or two I washed my face with antibacterial palmolive (the only antibacterial soap I had around, and I was a super broke college student so I didn't have the $5 to buy new face wash) and it was totally fine

You dont use it on your face.. just the brushes. I guess the theory is that you need something to cut the grease and bacteria, esp for those who use liquid foundations, lipsticks or eyeliners. If you don't I'm sure you can opt out.

I used a very gentle enviromnentally safe detergent that doesnt have dyes or fragrance. Also used baby shampoo instead of regular. Good luck!
