I came across this bedding from Target and I really like it! I would just get the duvet set, which is the duvet and two big pillow shams and maybe the small geometrical pattern pillow in front. For sheets I would do nicer ones (I have to have a higher thread count than 250, silly I know)--maybe a solid cranberry or red sheet.
My question is--What do you think? Cute or no? Right now we have only white sheets and a white down comforter and we really need color in our bedroom. My next, more important question is:
Is the "duvet" simply a cover that we could use to put over our existing white down comforter (I'm hoping) or is it a comforter/bedspread in and of itself? If it stands alone as a bedspread I don't want to get it b/c I really would like to use our existing down comforter with just a cover over it. If not, maybe I could have a seamstress slice it and make it into a duvet cover? Would love any thoughts on this--thanks!
OMG I totally forgot the link! Thanks for pointing that out! Here is the link to the pic on the home page (don't know how to post pics, sorry). This is how it looks w/ white sheets:
i actually really like the striped pattern they show with it. because the graphic is so big and bold, i think that a solid, dark colored sheet is going to look too blocky with it. a stripe or a pattern breaks it up more. i'm sure you could find a stripe in a higher thread count.

Right, but it doesn't use the words "duvet cover" in the description which is what threw me off. I think it is a duvet, based on the vague description, which means it's just a comforter, right? Maybe I'll call Target just to make sure.
Thanks everyone for the responses. Any more ideas/suggestions are welcome!
