So as I posted about earlier, I had a little lice problem last week. What kills lice is the heat of the dryer. Here's my idea, what if I put things into the dryer that were already dry just to kill and possible lice? Would it ruin them if they weren't wet? Specifically...
This top, 100% silk...
This sweater, I'm certain there's silk in it, and then either cashmere, wool or cotton...
Some silk scarves I just wear in my hair and stuff.
And then just random cotton stuff like jeans and t-shirts, which I normally wouldn't dry. Will they still shrink?
Anyways, I realize it probably won't work, but I'm just hoping someone says it's ok!
i wouldn't risk it b/c you could end up ruining your stuff. also and this is random but i think either you or your parents should complain to the dean, and the school should have to pay to get your clothes professionally dry cleaned. it's utterly ridiculous that someone you should have to deal with this, especially during finals. i bet if you made a big enough fuss someone would take care of it. but that just my opinion.
I stick stuff in the dryer to freshen or remove wrinkles all the time. As long as the item is dry go for it. with delicate snagable items like silk - do you have a lingerie bag you can put them in so they don't snag on other items?
