Pregnancy!

Ending weeks of speculation, BRITNEY SPEARS announced that she is pregnant today. On her Website, the pop princess issued a statement to fans saying, "The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. There are reports that I was in the hospital this weekend, KEVIN and I just want everyone to know that all is well."

Last month, Britney hinted at the upcoming announcement, saying: "I feel as though I have been very quiet and still lately. 'The calm before the storm' ... I can really relate to that statement right now."

Marrying dancer KEVIN FEDERLINE last fall made Britney more than a new wife, she's also step-mom to his 2-year-old and newborn baby with "Moesha" actress SHAR JACKSON.

Earlier this year, she told "The Insider"'s STEVEN COJOCARU that she's determined to make her own family. "I want to be a young mom. That's my dream. You can judge me however you want. I'm happy. That's what I wanna do!"

The 23-year-old pop star wed Kevin in a surprise ceremony on Sept 18. About 30 guests, including Britney's mom and sister, attended the Saturday night nuptials, which took place in a white tent erected in the backyard of her wedding planner's home.

JAMIE LYNN and her mom arrived wearing pink velour sweatsuits and carrying goodie bags stuffed with gifts like silver pendants with the couple's picture inside. Guests were asked to sign confidentiality agreements and were whisked there in passenger vans from their respective hotels.

The beaming bride left the house in the early hours the next day and headed for her wedding reception at Dublin's nightclub in Hollywood. A laughing Britney, who had dyed her hair brunette, and her brand-new husband departed the home in a black SUV. The rest of the guests emerged wearing sweatsuits -- the girls in pink, the boys in white with the word "Pimps" embroidered on the back. Kevin's dad had his own special sweatsuit that said "Pimp Daddy."

where did you see that? im happy for her... even if KFed leaves her, she'll be a good mommy and give that little boy a good life!

Gah! I was just going to post this...like no one could tell already.


Do you really think she'll be a good mom or did I miss sarcasm?  Oy...I can imagine her feeding her baby cheetos and diet pepsi.

I know did she think the public is stupid, it looks like she is getting bigger. I wonder since she is having a baby with Kevin, if they divorce does this entitle him to more money some how. I mean something has to be in it for him. And she is so stupid these days, she probably signed her life away just to have a baby.

do you guys really think that he's ever going to leave her? i keep seeing speculation about it, but i dunno-i mean, what does this guy have going on in his life that could possibly be better than the meal-ticket wife who is going to help him with his music career? i think he'd have to be much stupider than anyone suspects to get off that gravy train any time soon.  he does seem to be somewhat stupid, though, so i imagine he will keep fooling around in vegas or wherever until brit finally cuts him loose.  i just don't think he'll be the one doing the cutting.

so this is pure speculatio but i read that this all some elaborate scheme to take britney's money. here's the link http://www.gossipingbitches.com/columns/archives/000133.php (skip to paragraph 11). obviously this should be taken with a huge grain a salt (more like a shaker) but it would be kind of funny (and very sad) if it were true. also iirc she didn't sign a pre-nup.

Its just kids having kids. Neither one of them is mature enough to handle raising a child. She drips desperation and idiocy.

ever since i heard this last night, 16 minutes after the story broke, i've been trying to think of something clever to express my sadness.  but unfortunately, there are no words for this tragedy.  oh britbrit, is the road of your life paved with diamonds?  how can one girl have everything?  an amazing husband, a baby, cheetos and red bull AND a singing career?  oh well, i guess you're just missing class, but no matter...


my fiance's comment was, "he really is a serial impregnator." heh.
