I came across this while doing my usual browsing and thought you gals may know something about it. What regulations, and why California only?

I just know it has something to do with the python.  California restricts items made with python.  There were lot's of issues with Chloe bags because of this.

it's the python--and i know this sounds awful (halleybird, forgive me please!) but the regulation just makes me want it more.

i guess bcbg is coming out with an $800 croc shoe (that's a whole different thread) and there are strict instructions not to ship to california.  i'm sure it is regarding the same regulations.

pythons are an endanged species (although I personally wouldn't mind to see them all go- I HATE snakes *shudder*)
