So I just bought a ton of new makeup from MAC this weekend. Now I feel like I need some decent makeup brushes. I would like to buy as a set bc it will be less of a hassle that way. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks!

I've never used the Target ones but many people on here rave about them.  You can get a set for not too much.  I have been slowly buying Sephora brushes one at a time and I like them.  I think they make a "travel" set of them.

do NOT get MAC makeup brushes.  i love their make up but the brushes shed.  i love the way my makeup goes on with Bobbi Brown brushes.  i've noticed on a lot of makeover shows they use Bobbi Brown brushes too.  i justified the price by saying that i probably won't have to buy new brushes for a long time (i've had them for over four years).

I have one MAC brush--the blush brush.  I am pretty happy with it, I don't notice a lot of shedding.  I also own a few Trish McEvoy brushes which I love and highly recommend.  I had a set of Sephora brushes, I still use a few of them but I am not thrilled with them in comparison to my Trish brushes.  I have the Sonya Koshuk concealer brush which I am pleased with for the price.

If you don't mind dropping $$$, invest in either Trish McEvoy or Kevyn Aucoin.  Spendy, but both brands will last you for years.  Fresh also makes some great brushes.

Here's the KA set, which is amazing

Or if you don't want the whole set, get the powder & blush brushes.

i have NARS, Sonia Kashuk, Sephora and Trish McEvoy brushes... i love my Trish McEvoy... so much that i am getting her entire brush set ($250 at Henri Bendels) for my birthday!  I really like my NARS brush, HATE my Sonia Kashuk brush (the thing literally fell apart... ridiculous) and my sephora brush.

just a FYI- the girls at Henri Bendel's tell me that for the $$$ the Kevyn Aucoin brushes aren't really worth it.  the only one is the big cashmere brush that is like $65...
