Baked Potato Sticks?
Permalink Closed

I tried a recipe at a demonstration over the weekend that I loved.  Now that I'm reading it over, it calls for "Baked Potato Sticks".
I've never heard of these before.  Are they something you can buy frozen?  Google didn't help much.
TIA!

hmm, i've never heard of that either.  could it be something like this (presuming maybe the wheat version if it's something salty):

what is the recipe for and how is this ingredient used?  that might help me figure it out.

oooo I bet alb is right. Like those "fries" you can buy in gas stations. Like little shards of dry potato.

Oh! Potato stix! We used to get a hand-full of them plunked down on our cafeteria tray in elementary school. They were almost always served on the grilled cheese and tomato soup day. That was the best meal ever! Chocolate milk, grilled cheese, tomato soup and potato stix. Mmmm.

Thanks ladies - it is so weird this recipe called for these. It's for a vegan picadillo, and I guess you crumble them on top after all's said and done. I think I can go without (even though potatoes have a special place in my heart). Thank you!
