I have been pretty unhappy and disappointed with my position and career prospects at the small bank I have been working at since September. After a particularly difficult soul searching period I decided I want to get into HR and Recruiting. I posted for a bunch of positions, including Accounting positions, which I didn't want to return to (that's what my degree is in).
To my eternal suprise I received a call from a national healthcare staffing firm for an interview. I even got to do an office visit for the day to see if it was really something I could do. And yesterday I found out I got the job.
It is a pay cut but I think my sanity is worth the price. The office is 5 minutes from my mother's home and I'm going to move back in with her so that I can actually save some money. I start next Monday and thrilled about it all.
Also, special thanks to Farrah for all the HR career advice, I greatly appreciated it.
