I just read that JCrew announced a fourth quarter loss of $54 million due to refinancing. Hmmmmmm... You think this might make them start having more sales?
meow, where did you see this? i'm interested in reading more about it. anyway i'm not necessarily sure that the loss will mean more sales since they are in the process of restructuring their image. and my understanding is that losses due to re-financing aren't the same as losses due to poor sales, which would result in deeper discounts.
and for any nerds out there, ny magazine did a really interesting article on mickey drexler, the former ceo of the gap who now works for j.crew and is trying to revamp their image. it's long but interesting.
