i go this skirt on ebay last week for $26 including shipping. it's dkny, originally $89.
when i went to try it on i noticed that there's a white splotch on it - not bleach - it actually looks like a wad of string was lying on the skirt when they painted the pattern on. (i know that's not what it is, but that's what it looks like). i contacted the seller and they said they're willing to give me a $10 refund and let me keep the skirt. do i do it?
the pattern is busy, but the splotch is obviously not meant to be there, and i'm not sure i'll wear the skirt (well, other than schlepping to the store or something) because of it - which really sucks, because otherwise the skirt is fantastic - fits perfectly, looks good. the splotch is near the seam, but there's no way to hide it.
help!

No don't accept $10, you won't end up wearing the skirt, you will always know about the splotch even though it might not be obvious to others. Ask for a full refund and ship it back!
lynnie - that's actually what i'm wondering. i looked at the skirt again when i got home last night, and the splotch isn't *that* big...my bf thinks i should keep it.
oh, and it's definitely from some stray string that was lying on the fabric when it ran through the paint machine...
i think i'll keep it, get the refund (maybe ask for $15 instead), and see if i can color it...or just wear it as-is and hope no one notices! my bf thinks that because the pattern is pretty busy anyway no one will notice...but i know i would if it was on someone else!
thanks for the help girls...i'm going to keep thinking for a little bit.
