I have been using the medium shade on my face with GREAT results. Yes, it is a self tanner with lotion mixed in so the color comes gradually. However, i noticed results after the first application!

Ok - does it streak like a lot of self-tanners do? Or have you had it be pretty even?
Haha funny--I was just thinking that it was time for someone to post about this!
I got the fair skin formula on Saturday and I have used it morning and night since then (so 5 applications) and I look pretty tan and streak free. My ankles/ feet are a little orangey, but I'm working on evening it out.
I've never been much of a self-tanning person, so I'm not great at applying it, but this is pretty foolproof. I usually tan in the tanning bed/sun, but I'm trying to be kinder to my skin (it helps that there is not a salon convenient to my house now). I haven't really gotten the toasty brown shade I get naturally but it is good enough for now.

well, i was very pale too....BUT I also look very natural when i get very tan. I went with medium and got a lot of color. If you want to be more careful, go with light....but like I said, the medium is working well for me.
I have it in medium. I haven't been able to see if there is a change because I have only used it 3 times and not back -to-back. The reason I don't use it often is because it smells kinda weird and I hate smelling like that all day!
I heve been using this for 2 weeks now and I LOVE it! I am very ghostly pale and I bought it in fair. Within 3 days I had a very believable tan, not orangey but just a light natural tan. I put it on at night after my shower and then wash it off in the shower the next morning (it does have a slight funky smell). After using it for about 5 days in a row I started using it every other day and that seems to be enough to keep up the color.

I am very ghostly pale too - so maybe I will try the fair shade. One question though - if you put it on at night and wash it off in the morning, how do you end up w/any color?
by morning it has soaked in and developed the color. I guess I shouldn't have said I 'wash it off' but I just meant that the smell goes away when I take my morning shower.
I just got this yesterday (really good reviews on MakeUpAlley had me interested). I realy have to say I like it! I love that it builds color. Before this, I had been using Fake Bake, which I love, but every night after application, would worry that I missed a spot and would see it in the morning. I had a little color show up today (I bought Medium but I have medium skin-tone) and I am looking forward to future applications. I would say that it's so sheer that even if you miss a spot, it could be fixed the next night. Another plus is the smell, or lack there of. It does have a weird lotion-y smell, but deifnitely does not smell of self-tanner. After my shower this morning, I couldn't smell it at all. I am really looking forward to using this all spring and summer!
Wow - this stuff really sounds good! I'm going to pick it up. I am very fair-skinned, but I would like to develop noticeable color. Would you recommend I get the fair or medium shade?

it's not expensive. maybe you could try the light and then see how it goes. it's supposed to build over time. on mua, alot of pale people seemed to have good results with the medium, but i don't know what "noticeable color" means to you.. i feel like people always have varyign ideas about what tan is.
The smell, is like what you smell like after going to a tanning bed, back in the day when we did that. Good thing that we have other options now...I haven't noticed anything yet with mine...but I am on application one.
