I'm going to New Orleans tomorrow through Monday. I need to know what to pack. I always overpack. Here's what I know I have going on, so maybe you guys can help me out w/how much of what to pack:
Thursday - arrive at night, going out on Bourbon Street
Friday - wedding dinner rehearsal & bachelorette party
Saturday - sightseeing during day, crawfish boil w/wedding party at night
Sunday - wedding (so obviously I will bring my dress for that) & reception
Monday - hanging out until we leave to go home in mid-afternoon
The bride said it's mid-upper 70's there now, and w/all of your suggestions, I know I should bring some capris, skirts, maybe jeans for night, some tanks, tees, etc. But how much of what do I need?
Hey I pm'd you a few minutes ago with a weather update including some rain.
Thursday - arrive at night, going out on Bourbon Street
Friday - wedding dinner rehearsal & bachelorette party
Ok for the 2 parties if they are at a bar wear the same pants and same/different shirt since you will leave smelling like an ash tray. Where is the rehearsal dinner at? I would do a skirt or dress for it.
Saturday - sightseeing during day, crawfish boil w/wedding party at night
You will need 2 outfits for this. Sightseeing in new orleans isn't fancy so you don't have to dress up. Just don't do the fanny pack and new orleans t-shirt I would go with jeans at the crawfish boil because you will be peeling your own crawfish and the fat/guts can stain if you get them on your clothes. I have crawfish stains on my favorite pair of capris and i can't get them out! If you've never been to one grab an entire roll of paper towels and use them all to avoid stains!

Bring 1 pair of jeans for going out, 2 shirts for going out (unless its with different people then wear the same if you want). 1 skirt or dress for the rehearsal party and a coordinating top, capris might be best for sightseeing so I'd do 1 pair of those and a shirt or cami and blazer. If you are careful then just wear that same outfit to the boil, otherwise bring something else for it - usually pants/capris and a top - short sleeves work best for boils or you can recycle the jeans you wore on the nights out and pick up some febreeze down there if they smell too bad. There is a walgreens in the middle of the quarter. You can recycle the capris on Monday if you want with a different top to cut back on how much you bring.
